December 7th 2010:
Models Becky Costello and Eleanor Fitzgerald were on hand to brave the unexpected snowfall in Limerick today to bring a vintage 1950’s Ferguson 20 tractor back from pasture in time for “Farmer’s Day”, to celebrate the launch of ‘Cornstore at Home’, a brand new concept in home dining.
The ‘Cornstore at Home’ gourmet deli specialises in quality fare and takeaway food featuring locally sourced, natural produce specially selected by the Cornstore Chefs, ensuring quality foods fresh from the farm direct to your fork.
Diners can now take home the locally sourced produce of the Cornstore restaurant, prepped by their award-winning chefs, and ready to pop in the oven.
Pick up your Duck Confit main course, add some Braised Red Cabbage with Creamy Mash on the side, and sauce it with red wine jus. Or try the Organic Pork Belly with Garlic Potatoes and Apple Jelly.
Grab a Crusty Bread Loaf to keep you going while the oven does its work, and top off your shopping basket with some Homemade Desserts or your favourite wine from the Cornstore Wine List.
Baked Ham on the bone and Rotisserie Style Chickens marinated and stuffed are sure to be popular with foodies throughout the southern region and beyond.
A full range of Baked Goods will be available including Scones, Sun-dried Tomato Bread, Olive Bread and Parmesan & Rosemary Bread, as well as a spread of Chutneys, Jellys, Sauces, Cooked Meats, Soups, Sides and Salads.
The ‘Cornstore at Home’ will also be featuring Christmas Hampers and a range of traditional festive goodies.
Located on Thomas Street in Limerick City, opening celebrations on both Friday and Saturday mornings, December 10th and 11th, include a free Christmas pudding for the first twenty customers on each morning.
